Riders compete in grades, generally with a form of handicap to spice it up a bit more. Race formats are tailored to the weather, road conditions, and rider turnout.
On race day, the Race Director sets the tone — deciding group structure and race dynamics.

Grade Average Speed Range
A 38 km/h 36–41 km/h
B 36 km/h 33–38 km/h
C 33 km/h 29–36 km/h
D 25 km/h 20–29 km/h
E-bikes 30 km/h 26–33 km/h
🟢 E Grade: for newcomers. Led by a seasoned rider, the group focuses on safe bunch riding, and basic race tactics. Near the finish, the bunch typically breaks to sprint for a winner. This is a great intro to competitive cycling.
